This course:

 follows best practices from the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) and the World Health Organization (WHO),
 is for primary health center staff who work in Nigeria, and
 covers essential aspects of newborn care that save lives.

This course does not cover:

  • neonatal resuscitation,
  • integrated management of childhood illness, or
  • many medical emergencies that occur in newborns.

Validation of the course:

This course has passed through review by experts appointed by the Newborn Care Unit at Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Health.
